Mark Robson

Mark Robson

Director/Co-founder

A qualified engineer and IT professional, Mark has spent the last 2-decades holding numerous Executive and Board level positions within the highly regulated gambling industry. In addition to this, he also completed a fixed-term engagement for the Isle of Man Government’s Department of Economic Development, as ‘Head of eGaming, Film and Creative Industries’.

He has successfully consulted on, and managed many aspects of operating eGaming companies, from branding / design, through integration and launch, to day-to-day operations, and has a quantifiable track record of establishing, growing and leading profitable businesses in a number of sectors.

Mark successfully gained a Masters in Cannabis in 2023 and as such Mark is ideally positioned to ensure Elixeos is a viable and successful business.

Stephen Thatcher

Director/Co-founder

Stephen is an entrepreneur who has launched several successful businesses. He has founded, advised and invested in numerous companies from start-up to acquisition.

Stephen has also supported international entrepreneurs from a vast range of business sectors throughout a career spanning 30-years, predominantly in the finance sector. Most recently, Stephen has helped a number of UHNW individuals and their businesses to establish appropriate corporate structures for asset ownership, investment and philanthropy.

Kevin Stephens

Director/Co-founder

Kevin is a natural products entrepreneur. His family background in agriculture combined with his professional training developing and implementing Business technology made for an ideal combination for applying cutting edge technological solutions to the commercialisation of natural products. This practical nature has been supplemented by Kevin’s academic training (MBA, MSc international management and finance).

Kevin has designed and delivered commercial and research projects with international collaborators on a wide range of subjects from natural pesticides to new anti-brain cancer treatments as well as founding and supporting new companies across 4 continents.

Raphael Leon

Chief Scientific Officer/Co-Founder

Raphael is a passionate R&D pharmacologist, specialising in ethnobotany, psychedelics, and medicinal plant research. He started his natural product career at the Jodrell Laboratory, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where he learnt plant extraction techniques and in vitro plant extract testing.

Whilst at Pangea Botanica Ltd he led drug discovery programs, focusing on natural compounds for neurodegeneration and psychedelic therapies. During his time there he was recognised for idea generation and expertise in the field, with skills in in vitro assays, drug discovery, and SAR analysis.

Sir Roger Spencer Jones OBE FLSW

Business Advisory Board Leader

Sir Roger’s pharmaceutical career started in International Development at Wellcome (now GSK). Fifteen years later he realised that there was a need for a Contract Development function for the industry, and he set up Penn Pharmaceuticals Ltd, which enabled him to contribute to clinical development of sixteen molecules to international licensing.

His success was recognised with the award of the OBE in 1996 (services to the Pharmaceutical industry). He was subsequently awarded a knighthood in 2005 for services to business and training in Wales. He served as chairman of the Welsh Development Agency.

He received an honorary DSc from the University of Wales, Cardiff, in 2000 and was made a fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in 2009. He has established several successful life science companies in Wales, including Zoobiotic Ltd, Phytovation Ltd, Agroceutical Products Ltd, in addition to Penn Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

He was also a pioneer in the development of specifications for activated charcoal, enabling clinical use in the treatment of poisoning.
